2nd Life IT: a New Generation of Refurbished Laptops is here

2nd Life IT: a New Generation of Refurbished Laptops is here

We are proud to introduce our latest range of refurbished corporate laptops: the 2nd Life Premium Range, the most powerful of its kind in the market to date.

This faster and lighter range includes the Dell Latitude 7410, Lenovo Thinkpad T14 G1 and the HP Elitebook 840 G7

All 2nd Life IT products are refurbished to as good as new, following a stringent refurbishment process where we upgrade the components of the device for optimal performance, reprint the keyboard and revinyl the device (among other things) for an outstanding fresh look.

The 2nd Life Premium Range comes as standard with:

  • Intel i5 10th Generation Processor
  • 14” FHD Screen
  • 16GB Memory
  • 480GB SSD
  • New battery
  • And a warranty support like no other

A one-of-a-kind Warranty Support for Refurbished Laptops

We take a real pride in our refurbishment process and we trust our equipment’s performance so much that we offer a one of a kind warranty support service for the life of the subscription: In the unlikely event that the device presents a failure (for example: no display on screen, motherboard failure, overheating errors in the fan, etc) we will collect and repair or replace the unit.

If the equipment is damaged by reasons not included in the warranty, like end-user damage, for example, we can still provide a repair service for an extra cost that will be considerably lower to any other repair service provider (since we are the ones who refurbished the equipment we have all the spare parts, and knowledge to fix them)

If the unit is beyond economical repair we can provide a like for like or better replacement (always subject to our client’s approval)

What are the benefits of using refurbished laptops?

There are many reasons why our clients choose 2nd Life IT equipment for their businesses.

Some of them make the decision based on the price: with the 2nd Life IT Premium Range businesses can save up to 40% of their IT budget.

Others make the choice based on the look and feel: when we say they are refurbished to as good as new is because they LOOK brand new. We have had situations where we would present 2 laptops to a customer, a new unit and a 2nd Life unit and they were not able to tell the difference. (You are more than welcome to come to visit us in our London offices and see for yourself)

But what all of our customers always mention as a key factor is this: it’s sustainable.

Sustainable Technology: how refurbished laptops can help businesses achieve their ESG goals

Our whole business model is based on the use and re-use of technology. Our aim is to provide 7 to 8 years use with three different users, thus extending the useful life of the assets, enhancing their sustainability, reducing WEEE waste and its impact on our world.

How do we achieve this?
By taking responsability for the device's complete journey from Day 1.

A device's journey with InnoVent starts with a Corporate User that will be the first custodian of that device for the first 3 years of its useful life. After that period of time, the device will return to us and start a refurbishment process that will make it as good as new and ready for a Second Corporate User (sometimes it can be also a school, a hospital or a charity) that will be the custodian of that device for the following 3 years of its useful life.

Once that period ends, the equipment returns again to us and either:

  1. Will go through a light refurbishment process that will prepare the device for a Third (not corporate) user.
  2. Or if it is no longer possible to refurbish it, the device will be disposed of in accordance with the Waste Hierachy Methology through our partners. That means: any components that are suitable for re-use will be removed and kept as spare parts in order to repair other devices and the remainder of the device will be dismantled and sorted by material type (plastics, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, etc) to be processed for recycling and will become part of the manufacturing of new products.
